We are a volunteer department with an ISO class rating of 3, which is the same rating that many full time departments in our state have. We provide for all training required, both thru the technical college as well as in-house training. We respond to a variety of emergencies, including structure fires, vehicle fires, traffic accidents, missing persons, hazardous material, ice rescue, and the ever-present "unknown". Once a member has completed the required fire training, we offer the opportunity for advancement to the driver/pump operator position. | Requirements: • 18 years of age or older. • High school graduate or equivalent (GED, etc). • Live in Dodgeville and be available for emergency calls with no warning. • U.S. citizen or permanent alien resident who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship. • Be in good physical condition as determined by medical examination that may include provisions of the National Fire Protection Association Standard 158. • In addition, applicants must not have a felony conviction directly related to the position of firefighter (e.g., arson, burglary, larceny, murder). Applicants must not have a record reflecting a series of misdemeanor convictions that indicate a habitual disrespect for the law. Nurse Volunteers (RNs, LPNs, and other nursing specialists) provide patient care and assist providers. They perform intake and discharge duties and follow up as needed, playing a crucial role in patient management at the clinic.

Pharmacy Technician Volunteers fill provider-ordered prescriptions, order medications, and supplies to keep the pharmacy well-stocked. This position is essential for the smooth operation of the clinic's pharmacy services.

Lab Technician Volunteers collect specimens and perform or obtain laboratory tests that providers need to diagnose and treat patients. This role is vital for ensuring accurate and timely medical assessments.

Interpreter Volunteers assist non-English-speaking patients by helping them fill in their charts and accompanying them throughout their clinic visit to interpret as needed. This role is crucial for ensuring effective communication and care for diverse patient populations.

Healthcare Providers, including physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, lead the medical team in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, evaluation, and the development of treatment plans for patients in need.

As a Registration Volunteer, you will welcome and register patients, enter demographic information, answer general questions, and explain the procedure for seeing a doctor. This role is essential for helping patients access the services they need and ensuring a smooth operation at the clinic.
