West Manchester Township Fire Department
The West Manchester Township Fire Department is a busy suburban 100% Volunteer Fire Department that responds to 850 calls for service annually. To do this we rely on highly dedicated personnel within the community. We are seeking “Home Responders” and “Live-In” members. Live-Ins – For exchange for responding to calls for service, station duties, and training, live-ins reside at the fire station for FREE. We provide 4 college style dorm rooms between our two (2) fire stations. Each dorm has a beds, dressers/wardrobes, desks, wired/wireless internet access. In addition to free room-and-board, WMTFD also offers a variety of other incentives for your time and dedication. These include paid training, uniforms, retirement plan, and much more. Home Responders – For exchange for responding to calls for service, we provide FREE uniforms, FREE training, FREE Life Insurance up to $10,000.00, FREE Retirement Plan, FREE Fuel Reimbursement and much more. For our Live-Ins, our stations are just a short commute from the following colleges/universities: Penn State York York College of Pennsylvania Harrisburg Area Community College York Campus YTI Career Institute All members have access to our day rooms (lounge) which are equipped with plush recliners and sofas, big screen TV’s, Pool tables, state-of-the-art commercial quality fitness centers that include free weights, cardio, and universal gym equipment. We are looking for motivated individuals to become a part of our team.
