The East Hazel Crest Volunteer Fire Department is a All hazards response agency serving a community of approximately 1500 residents. The Fire Department responds annually to over 400 calls a year. The Department is staffed with 1 full time Deputy chief and 20 paid on call members who respond from home. The Fire Department operates out of 2 fire houses utilizing 3 Engines 1 Rescue Squad and 2 Support Command vehicles. We are looking to establish a new program of volunteer staffing of the fire department to provide faster response times to our citizens and visitors. All members receive pay per call from the Village and small number of Paid shifts are available on the weekends.
