This project is designed to onboard new and returning staff members for partners within the Reynolds School District.

Art Hour volunteers have the opportunity to spend time with children, helping them create art and positively impacting their lives. Volunteers do not need to be artists but should be willing to get creative. All volunteers must complete a training program and be at least 18 years old.

Event volunteers assist in making CFC events successful by handling tasks such as event setup, engaging with visitors, taking photographs, and managing ticketing. Volunteers should be passionate and reliable, contributing to the success of various events.

Assist in managing the tool lending library, helping community members borrow and return tools. No previous tool experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and engage with the community is essential.

Lead skill-sharing workshops in areas such as tool basics, gardening, and home improvement. Volunteers should have expertise in their chosen topic and a passion for teaching.

Provide translation and interpretation services to ensure all community members can access the resources and workshops offered by Rockwood Common. Volunteers should be fluent in English and at least one other language.

Volunteer to repair and maintain tools in the library, ensuring they are in good working condition for community use. Experience with tool repair is beneficial but not required.

Become a member of one of our committees focused on Design, Promotion, Economic Vitality, or Outreach/Organization. Help us with projects that enhance the downtown area and support local businesses, while working alongside other dedicated volunteers.

Assist with DCA events by helping with setup or breakdown, registration, staffing the DCA table, selling or handing out raffle tickets, and answering questions. Volunteers can take a 2-hour shift or stay longer.

Focuses on collecting, identifying, and cataloging aquatic plant species in the lakes to understand and monitor plant biodiversity. Volunteers contribute to the understanding of local ecosystems.

Manages the online presence through website updates, social media engagement, and creative content creation to raise awareness and share information about the watershed.

Works to support efforts to reduce phosphate levels in the lakes and watershed to improve water quality and prevent harmful algal blooms. Volunteers engage in environmental data collection and analysis.

Volunteers monitor blue-green algae in Lacamas, Round, and Fallen Leaf Lakes, partnering with NOAA’s Phytoplankton Monitoring Network. They receive training in sampling protocols, water quality measurements, and cyanobacteria identification, ensuring accurate and consistent data collection.

Handles the collection, organization, and analysis of environmental data to support watershed management and restoration efforts. Volunteers play a crucial role in data-driven decision-making.

Assist in the development of the Survivor Path by providing necessary supplies and labor. Volunteers will help in various tasks to ensure the path is completed and beneficial for cancer survivors.

Assist in the Wolf Creek Cleanup to help preserve public shooting lands. Volunteers will engage in cleaning activities to ensure these areas remain safe and enjoyable for recreational use.

Join us for the Bear Ridge Tri-Pit Cleanup event to help maintain and preserve public lands used for recreational shooting. Volunteers will assist in cleaning up debris and ensuring the area remains safe and accessible for all.
