As a Dining Center Volunteer, you will assist in preparing and serving meals to seniors at local dining centers. This opportunity allows you to engage with seniors, enjoy conversations, and help create a welcoming environment for them.

Assist in organizing and managing events such as the Harvest Festival and Chili & Soup Cook-Off. Volunteers will help with setup, coordination, and engaging with visitors to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Our volunteer meetings are generally held at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of a given month. Meetings are generally held at the Red River Zoo, unless specified otherwise. Each volunteer meeting is an opportunity to learn what's happening at the Zoo, what volunteer opportunities are available, and visit with your fellow volunteers. We also try to have guest speakers.

This person will fill Dippin Dots to prepare for events or rentals.

This may include litter pick up, raking, shoveling, exhibit maintenance... whatever the zoo needs at the moment.

As a silent auction clerk, volunteers will assist in managing the silent auction during events, helping to track bids and ensure a smooth process. This role is essential for fundraising efforts and allows volunteers to experience the event at no cost.
