Community Outreach Volunteers help to promote the services of Crossroads Safehouse within the community. This may include attending events, distributing materials, and engaging with community members to raise awareness about domestic violence.

Volunteers assist in the kitchen and dining area, helping with food preparation, cooking, counter service, bussing dishes, cleaning tables, and maintenance work. Volunteers are essential to the cafe's operations, contributing to the community by ensuring meals are served smoothly.

Volunteers help staff tables at special events, farmer’s markets, and community events. They also assist with the winter event auction and the 'Kids Feeding Kids' breakfast program, contributing to the cafe's outreach and fundraising efforts.

Join us for a full day of tree planting in burn areas to help reforest and restore the natural landscape. Volunteers will plant trees and assist in reforestation efforts.

Participate in river cleanup activities in the Poudre Canyon or Old Town Fort Collins. Volunteers will help remove debris and maintain the cleanliness of the river areas.

Help with harvesting willow branches for river restoration projects. This activity supports the stabilization of riverbanks and the restoration of natural habitats.

Assist in collecting seeds for future planting projects. This activity can be a half or full day and contributes to the restoration of native plant species.

Participate in public work days to repair trails and bridges. Volunteers will work on trail restoration projects to maintain and improve trail conditions for hikers and campers.

Assist in the Spontaneous Problem area as a Check-in Person, Runner, or in the Holding Room. A good sense of humor is required to help kids relax and enjoy the day.

Assist in training youth in job skills, social-emotional learning, and nutrition education on the farm. Volunteers will help with activities such as mock interviews, customer interactions, and gardening tasks.

Collect score packets from all 6 problems plus spontaneous and deliver them to the score room for tabulation. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of scores.

Help create a welcoming and fun environment at our Mural Project Festival by assisting with event setup, handing out snacks and drinks to artists, and helping with scaffolding. Volunteers are essential in ensuring the festival runs smoothly.
