Adult volunteers, aged 18 and above, are integral to the healthcare team, providing support to patients, families, and staff. Volunteers must commit to regular shifts, with placement based on department needs and volunteer skills.

The Student Volunteer Program is designed for individuals aged 16 and above, offering opportunities to explore a health career, connect with the community, or stay active in retirement. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of one shift per week for at least 12 weeks.

Help in the office with administrative tasks, tackle maintenance projects, and transport donated food and supplies. Volunteers may also participate in landscaping and lawn mowing.

Help with hands-on programs in the shelter, including walking, grooming, socializing, training, and cleaning for dogs and cats. Volunteers are also needed to help transport animals to and from vet appointments.

Help with various annual projects, including Vaccine/Microchip clinics, Garage Sales, Dinners, Newsletters, Community events, and Pet Education. Volunteers can work on planning committees, seek donated items, coordinate events, and assist on the day of the event.

Perform fire fighting and support duties. Attend meetings and training. Looking for community oriented people to become part of our firefighting family in Oxford, WI. Our department provides emergency coverage to the Village of Oxford and the Town's of Jackson and Oxford. Some of the services we provide include both Structure and Wildland fire suppression, various rescue duty's including using the jaws of life and Search & Rescue. Our members also have a fundraising side (Oxford Fire Department Inc.) that hold a few functions per year to offset the cost of our equipment from the tax roll. | Requirements: You will be expected to complete training that is provided free within your first year of membership.
