The clinic is seeking volunteer dentists and dental hygienists to provide dental care. Hours can be flexible based on availability, with shifts available on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Spanish interpreters are needed for in-person interpretation for medical and dental patients, as well as for documentation translation.

Lab techs are required to draw patients' blood and prepare samples for testing. Shifts are available on Thursday mornings.

Registrars will register or re-certify patients during their visits. Shifts are available on Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings.

RNs are needed to take patients' vitals, prepare them for visits, and assist doctors or nurse practitioners. Shifts are available on Monday and Thursday.

Powhatan County Fire & Rescue is looking for dedicated personnel to assist the community by becoming Volunteer Firefighters and EMT’s. Volunteers responds to emergency situations and perform fire suppression and/or emergency medical activities as needed. You participate as a team member; performing work which can include strenuous physical activity, heavy lifting, working from ladders, and wearing self- contained breathing apparatus. Volunteers operate diverse equipment such as hoses, self-contained breathing apparatus, a variety of hand tools and power equipment, saws, ladders, fire extinguishers, ventilation equipment, radios, rescue and extrication equipment, and work with specialized medical equipment such a defibrillators and Advanced Life Support medications. | Requirements: Ages 12-16 Junior Emergency Technician (JET), 16-18 Active Junior member, 18+ senior member. Must complete criminal history check per Virginia Code §32.1-111.5. While each volunteer station handles duty requirements differently, expect to devote a minimum of 20 hours per month to staffing/training, plus on-call home response when needed.
