Dewey Fire Company is a 100% volunteer fire and rescue company serving Hellertown and surrounding areas, answering almost 400 calls per year. We welcome new members who want to make a difference in their community. We need volunteers in all areas, including administrative, financial, trades, and especially fire and rescue. In 2019 the members of Lower Saucon Fire Rescue dedicated over 4,050 hours of responding to emergency calls, training, and performing equipment and station maintenance. We responded to 705 calls. The members of Lower Saucon Fire Rescue are highly trained in multiple areas of emergency response, not just firefighting including vehicle and special vehicle rescue, hazardous materials, emergency medical care, incident command, rope rescue, and water rescue. We operate 3 stations - 3 Engines, 2 Tenders, 1 Heavy Rescue, 2 Brush Trucks, 1 Ladder Tower, 1 Traffic Unit, 2 Command, and 1 Utility truck. The mission of Lower Saucon Fire Rescue is to save lives and protect property through emergency medical service, fire, and rescue response and fire prevention. We respond immediately when any member of our community needs help with professional, effective and compassionate service. The Se-Wy-Co and Southeastern Fire Companies, serving Lower Saucon Township, are proud to announce they have formally merged and are now Lower Saucon Fire Rescue. | Requirements: The only requirement is your desire to help out the community in which you live.
