College students can apply for internships to gain experience in wildlife care, including preparing diets, feeding, monitoring raptor behavior, and assisting with educational programs.

Engage in weekly aviary cleaning, maintenance tasks such as painting and repairs, and grounds upkeep including mowing and snow removal. Volunteers work on new constructions and general property maintenance.

Assist with fundraising, event planning and support, mailings, and grant writing. Flexible hours are available for volunteers with limited availability.

Assist with the care of raptors by preparing diets, feeding and watering the birds, and monitoring their behavior. Volunteers also assist with treatments for injured raptors.

Train with Ambassador Raptors and travel to schools, libraries, and events to educate the public. Participate in special events like fundraisers and require a long-term commitment due to training.

Volunteers assist with organizing and running fundraising events, adoptions, and special events. Responsibilities include setting up, managing logistics, and engaging with the community to promote the rescue's mission.

Transport volunteers help by driving animals to and from foster homes, veterinary appointments, and adoption events. Volunteers must ensure the safe and comfortable transport of animals.

Foster volunteers provide temporary homes for dogs, cats, kittens, birds, and small animals. Volunteers are responsible for caring for the animals, which includes feeding, socializing, and providing a safe environment until they are adopted.

Join the Canterbury Volunteer Fire Company as a firefighter and help provide essential emergency services to the community. Volunteers will be trained in firefighting techniques and emergency medical response, contributing to the safety and well-being of the Town of Canterbury.
