As a Community Engagement Volunteer, you will assist in organizing community events, outreach programs, and support services for local residents. This role involves collaborating with staff and community members to promote the organization's mission and enhance community participation.

As a Trip Assistant, you will help facilitate activities for children at the Beach House located in the Marin Headlands. Weekday hours are approximately 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and weekend hours are 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

San Luis Obispo Night Crew Volunteers support patient rehabilitation by providing care during evening shifts. Duties include preparing food and feeding patients, cleaning pens and equipment, and updating patient charts.

San Luis Obispo Day Crew Volunteers support all aspects of marine mammal rehabilitation from rescue to rehabilitation to release. Duties include fielding calls from the public, rescuing and transporting injured and sick marine mammals, preparing food and feeding patients, cleaning pens and equipment, updating patient charts, and assisting with releases.

Community Engagement Volunteers play a vital role in advancing global ocean conservation by inspiring the public to better appreciate the ocean and help protect the animals that live in it. Duties include interacting with the public at outreach events, education programs, and field responses such as animal monitoring/public outreach.
