Our department is averaging nearly 1,000 calls for service a year in the largest Fire District in Faulkner County and we need your help to answer those calls. We are looking for apparatus drivers, interior/exterior firefighters, mechanics, and emergency medical responders. We have a place for anyone that is willing to donate their time and/or expertise and in helping our community and neighbors. We will provide all training and gear needed to get you started. Once on board with the department the opportunities for additional training are limitless (and free of charge) as we can host classes in house or send you to other agencies for more advanced training through the Arkansas Fire Academy. We regularly meet for training the first and third Monday from 630p-9p and the second Saturday morning each month. We are located just North of Sherwood City Limits. We are looking for residents within our community to become members who want to help their local community and surrounding areas. We respond to all emergencies that come through 911. No prior training or experience is necessary. We will provide you with the training to help the community of Gibson, Runyan Acres, North Pulaski & surrounding. We would love to start our Junior firefighting program back up. This would count towards your Volunteer hours needed for High School. We have a Auxiliary group that supports the Men and Women members of the Fire Dept. Their responsibility's are to come up with fund raising ideas and support members when they my be out for extended hours on an emergency.
