Once all paperwork is returned to the Fire Company, the Probationary member will have the below requirements: -Remain active during their 12-Month Probationary Period -Expected to respond to 25% of all alarms and participate in 50% of training events, along with any requirements set forth by the Chief and/or President -Quarterly performance reviews performed by the line and administrative officers -Must complete their one-year probationary period and pass the state Firefighter 1 exam (if applicable) -Must provide a written request to the Chief and President requesting membership’s approval to change their status from Probationary Member to Regular Member (Based on performance, a recommendation for promotion to Regular Member will be made at the appropriate monthly membership meeting.
