Your Monona Fire and EMS is an exciting combination fire and EMS provider looking for exceptional volunteers from our community! We provide fire prevention, suppression, investigation and paramedic EMS response to the City of Monona and surrounding communities. We have opportunities for new members to join our family oriented, community based department, and experience is NOT needed. We will provide you with: NFPA compliant turnout gear (coat, pants, boots, gloves, helmet, and other accessories) State of the art vehicles (2017 Pierce Engine, 2007 Pierce Midmount Ladder, 2004 Pierce Engine - being replaced in 2024, 2019 Braun Ambulance, and more!) Social media volunteers manage and promote Underdog Pet Rescue's presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, helping to increase awareness and engagement.

Event planning volunteers help organize and execute events like Wags & Whiskers, bringing the community together and supporting fundraising efforts.

Community building volunteers work to unite volunteers, adopters, and the Madison area around the mission of rescuing and adopting out more animals.

Provide a temporary home for animals in need until they are adopted. Foster volunteers help animals adjust to home life and prepare them for their forever homes.

Volunteers are needed to assist in various areas such as Fundraising, Administration, Publicity, and Medical support. Volunteers can also participate in monthly meetings to stay informed and involved.

The Food Bridge Program connects older adults to nutritious food from one of our three partnered food pantries around Madison. Volunteers are matched with one to two older adults to deliver food boxes to.

Assist in providing rapid, compassionate assistance to communities facing traumatic events. Volunteers work alongside highly trained service dogs to offer comfort and stability during critical incidents such as natural disasters and first responder debriefings.

Volunteers are needed to help sort, label, or pack/re-pack food into family-friendly portions for distribution to our community. Tasks include sorting fresh produce, labeling frozen pizzas, and packing boxes with food for distribution.

Assist with various tasks at Broom Street Theater, including ushering, ticketing, and helping with set changes. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations during performances.

Help organize and distribute books to LGBTQ+ individuals in prisons. Volunteers will sort, pack, and send books to those in need.
