Grand Bay Fire and Rescue is looking for volunteers. We serve a 75 square mile area and we only serve at this time with 4 active members. All new members must be on time to all trainings and attend all Board Member meetings. 2 per month. Must be willing to give back to our community 100x's fold. Must be abke to lift in excess of 100lbs alone and assist with up to 400lbs buddy system style. All training is paid for and mandatory. Personal extras outside of the department curriculum will not be paid for. Must be trustworthy, respectful of other members beliefs and character. Character building is a high requisite and bad attitudes and behaviors WILL NOT be tolerated. Must complete all NIMS and TIMS training within first year of rookie status. New members must go through a one (1) year probationary period and is not allowed to drive any truck within that period. All uniform shirts will be provided and a radio will assigned after the first 60 days. All applicants must take a Candidate Aptitude Test following the fulfillment of their application.
