Assist in preparing food and hygiene products for monthly distributions. Volunteers set out and organize items for families to select during distribution events.

Volunteers sort incoming donations, check expiration dates, and organize items on shelves to prepare for distribution. This role is crucial in ensuring that families receive safe and fresh products.

Tend to the Giving Garden during spring and summer months. Volunteers help grow and maintain produce that is distributed to families in need.

Help pack bags of food for families during distribution events. Volunteers also assist in packing fresh produce items in the kitchen.

From time to time assistance is needed with one of our many social events. Duties can include decorating, setting up for events, and serving food. Can also include on-site assistance at our paper shred fundraisers. All that is needed is a positive attitude and a willingness to give back to the community. Approximately 2-3 hours on a monthly basis.

Help keep our lending library organized by shelving and re-shelving books in proper areas. This entails approximately one hour per week, anytime the Center is open.

This includes answering phones, taking messages, light office work (such as filing, faxing, making copies, etc.), setting up refreshments, and other customer service duties. This includes heavy contact with Center members. Good communication and organizational skills are required. Shifts are available Mondays through Fridays from 9AM-Noon.

We’re always interested in meeting enthusiastic people with expertise, passion, or a special skill they would like to share with our members. Perhaps you can volunteer to: hold a TED Talk, speak to an audience about your work, passion, or hobbies; share photos from a unique travel experience – or whatever you may have to offer. We’re open to ideas!

Help us with database manipulation and spreadsheet maintenance. Requires ensuring all data is entered accurately; reviewing all information entered and making corrections where necessary. Experience with Excel and database skills required. This can be done at flexible times and may require 2-5 hours per month.

We promote our programs and events through flyers that need to be posted in the Center and at various locations around town. Experience with programs such as Canva, Google Docs, PowerPoint, etc. is needed to help design promotional flyers at various times of the month.

Volunteers participate in plantings, clean-ups, and other essential projects to help parks thrive. Responsibilities include removing litter, invasive plants, and maintaining trails.

Ushers and House Managers welcome guests, hand out programs, assist patrons in finding their seats, and help maintain the theater's cleanliness after performances. This role requires arriving one hour before showtime and engaging with the audience to enhance their experience.

Costume Designers collaborate with the Director to create costumes that fit the characters and setting of the production, working within a budget. This role may involve pulling costumes from the collection, renting, or creating new pieces.

Lighting Assistants help with hanging and focusing lights for productions, which may involve climbing ladders. This role is suitable for those who enjoy working at heights and want to learn about lighting design.

Props Masters work with the Director to determine the necessary props for productions and are responsible for gathering these items from the Playhouse collection or sourcing them externally. This role is ideal for those who enjoy searching and shopping for unique items.

Participate in volunteer activities to qualify for the President's Volunteer Service Award. Volunteers must complete eligible unpaid acts of service benefiting others within a 12-month period.

Support our clients in active case management by volunteering on Fridays. This role is essential in helping individuals navigate their path to stability.
