We need additional volunteers to become firefighters and/or basic emergency medical services responders (CFRs or EMTs), but we also have the need for scene support personnel (auxiliary members) and administrative support personnel (business members). HIICAP Volunteers provide one-on-one assistance to Medicare beneficiaries, helping them select supplemental insurance, prescription drug coverage, and alerting them to special programs. Volunteers receive free training and regular updates through monthly in-services.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman Volunteers set aside a few hours each week to visit a local long-term care facility to help promote the quality of life for residents. Ombudsmen advocate on behalf of residents and often work closely with residents, their families, and facility staff to resolve problems to ensure the best quality of care. A free 36-hour training program is offered throughout the year for new ombudsmen.

Join SPARE Productions for a car wash and bake sale event. Volunteers will assist with washing cars, organizing baked goods, and interacting with attendees to ensure a successful fundraiser.

The 1:1 Math Program Coordinator will oversee the math tutoring program, ensuring that volunteers are effectively matched with students. This role requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment and may involve training new volunteers.
