As a Diary Collection Volunteer, you will assist in the collection and archiving of diaries and journals from contributors. Responsibilities include organizing submissions, helping with cataloging, and promoting awareness of the project.

Our cooks are the heart of the kitchen! Each week, we need one volunteer to take charge of prepping, cooking, portioning, and cleaning up after the meal is made. It’s a 3–4 hour commitment, typically on Monday evenings.

Our weekly shopper receives a meal plan and grocery list in advance and visits multiple vendors to gather all ingredients needed for the upcoming meal. If you’re organized and enjoy checking off lists, we’d love to have you help fuel our mission.

Help us get meals into the hands of those who need them most. Deliveries happen Tuesday afternoons. Drivers meet at the City Mission kitchen, help bag meals, and include our 'In the Word This Week' inserts.

This volunteer role includes printing and organizing labels and inserts for the weekly meals. Once printed, the labels are affixed to the to-go containers and delivery bags. It’s a detail-oriented role that makes a big difference.
