Assist with processing adoptions, coordinating volunteers, updating animal records, and staffing the gift shop. Volunteers may also help with outreach and coordination activities.

Assist with cleaning dog and cat pens, playing with animals, and feeding and watering them. Volunteers may also help with dog grooming, walking dogs, and monitoring dogs in play areas.

Help with shelter repairs, such as simple painting, fence repairs, and power washing. Volunteers may also assist with lawn mowing and gardening.

Provide animal care during disasters, including medical care such as vaccinations and treating ears. Volunteers may also assist with transporting animals to other rescues or resources.

Assist in preparing and serving a free, restaurant-style hot meal every Sunday for the community. Volunteers are needed to help host groups or churches to serve meals to approximately 150 people each Sunday.

Help greet neighbors and work on the food distribution line during Saturday distributions in Poplar Bluff, Doniphan, & Ellsinore. Volunteers assist in distributing food and clothing to those in need.

Participate in food distributions for children and families within Poplar Bluff Schools. Volunteers help ensure that families receive necessary food supplies.
