Once you have passed the requirements, you will be on call 24/7/365 and must maintain a 50% call response percentage on the fire company you are assigned to. | Requirements: You must be a resident of Paramus for at least 2 years. Junior Firefighters must be between the ages of 16-18. Firefighters must be at least 18 years old. Must be in good physical health and can pass a doctor provided physical as well as a physical agility test. You will be required to attend the Fire Academy and become certified as a NJ State Firefigter within your first year of being a firefighter.
