Fruit Pickers have the flexibility to choose their preferred time and location to harvest by joining scheduled picks organized by Harvest Leaders. They can also join a neighborhood team for priority access to community picks.

As a Social Mentor, you will provide support and companionship to individuals living with traumatic brain injury. This role involves participating in gatherings and helping to create a positive and understanding environment for participants.

Volunteers can attend Alhambra Design Review Board, Planning Commission, or City Council meetings to stay informed and participate in discussions about local issues. This is a great way to engage with the community and contribute to the preservation efforts.

Volunteers can help out at various events sponsored by the Alhambra Preservation Group. This may include setting up, managing activities, and engaging with attendees to promote the organization's mission.

Help transcribe handwritten medical observations into the intranet software, Chameleon, supporting the veterinary health and animal care staff.

Assist in the Humane Education Program by educating children and adults about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership through engaging educational experiences.

Volunteers support shelter animals from home by creating comfort items and enrichment activities. Projects include crafting blankets and toys, which enhance the well-being of animals while they await adoption.

Provide temporary, loving homes for animals in need, giving them the care, socialization, and medical support necessary before they are ready for adoption.

Create a welcoming environment for all visitors to the shelter, assisting them with navigation and answering questions during their visit.

Join us in the kitchen to assist with food preparation and meal service. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old to volunteer in the kitchen with a chaperone and 16 to volunteer without one.

Hold community events with clients at any of our 16 locations, including activities like art sessions, bingo, and birthday celebrations to foster engagement and connection.

Help craft new educational programs aimed at teaching kids and adults about birds and conservation. This position is ideal for those with a background in education or curriculum development.
