Join the Grocery Rescue team to help pick up unsold food from local grocery stores and deliver it to the Foodbank. Volunteers will assist in ensuring that food is saved and redistributed to those in need.

Assist with the organization and packing of food items in the warehouse. Volunteers will help ensure that food is sorted and pre-packed for distribution to those in need.

Join our Telephone Outreach team to promote our television series, Entertaining Older Folks, and other free resources. Volunteers will contact care homes to encourage them to inform residents about our series and provide a PDF flyer for display, helping to spread joy and alleviate loneliness among seniors.

DEFINITION: Serving as a paid-call (Volunteer) Firefighter will enable qualified individuals to assist in providing a vital service to the community and play an important role in an exciting profession. Individuals selected for the position must be of high character and at times be willing to forego some personal pleasures to assist in providing our community the effective fire protection it deserves. Greet visitors, guide museum tours, and update signage for upcoming events and organizational updates. Assist in museum artifact management and interpretation, helping to carry the legacy of the central coast to visitors and locals alike.

Help with the planning and execution of Dunes Center special events, including the Coreopsis Cup Golf Tournament and Trees of the Season Gala. This role is perfect for those who enjoy event planning and community engagement.

Lead nature walks and hikes in the dunes for private groups or the general public. This role allows you to share your knowledge of the local ecosystem while engaging with visitors.

Provide office support by answering phones, filing documents, managing mailings, performing light cleaning, and assisting with other special projects as needed.

Work in our native plant garden weeding, pruning, and planting. Volunteer at community service events in the dunes, such as ice-plant removals, native seed collections, and beach clean-ups.
