The Shorewood Foundation appreciates your interest in serving on one of its Committees. Committees work on grant-making, development and fundraising, communications and events, finance and audit, and nominations and board development.

Work with the Annual Fund Chair to coordinate the strategy, messaging, print materials, social media, email scheduling and other forms of outreach. Fundraising and/or non-profit experience will be helpful.

Reach out to area restaurants to see if they would like to participate and follow up after the event.

Help develop print and digital pieces for events and annual fund materials. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is required.

Maintain email lists and set up and send out email campaigns using MailChimp. Volunteers should have experience with email marketing platforms.

Volunteers with experience in writing promotional, informational, and other content are needed. Bonus if you have experience with non-profits.

Volunteering your time to help raise awareness about SEED’s Annual Fund is important. Help is needed to reach out to past donors through phone calls, writing letters, and other means.

Volunteers with a communications background are needed to help write, strategize, organize content, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

Join the Sponsorship & Advertising Team to reach out to previous donors and area businesses to ask for their support.

Help sell raffle tickets at school events and/or the evening of the gala.

Create a calendar and schedule posts to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Volunteers should have experience in social media management.

Reach out to previous donors to seek their support and help find potential new donors. Creative ideas for new items and experiences are welcome.

Come up with ideas to make the gala look amazing and tie into the theme for the event.

Join the Load-In/Out Crew to help with loading and unloading camp equipment before and after camp sessions. This is a great opportunity for those who want to make a big impact with a small time commitment. No full volunteer application is required for this role.

Instrument Instructors will teach campers how to play various instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, or vocals. This position is ideal for those with musical expertise and a desire to inspire others. All volunteers must be 18 or older and complete a background check.

Camp Support volunteers assist with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the camp. Responsibilities may include helping with logistics, setting up equipment, and providing general support to campers and staff. All volunteers must be 18 or older and complete a background check.

As a Band Coach, you will guide campers in forming bands, writing songs, and preparing for performances. This role requires a passion for music and the ability to mentor youth of varying skill levels. All volunteers must be 18 or older and complete a background check.

Join us in growing and harvesting fresh healthy produce for our neighbors. Volunteers will roll up their sleeves and get their hands in the dirt to support our urban farm.

Kick-start your day with fresh air and bird song. Volunteer and contribute to community science as we identify species within UEC green spaces. Interested bird watchers of all ability levels are welcome.
