Our department is comprised of members that do many different jobs. Some fight fires internally within structures. Others serve as important a role as pump operators, water supply, traffic details, etc. There are even members who are certified Emergency Medical Technicians and are a part of the First Response – Emergency Medical Services we provide. In addition to these roles, we have members who serve as graphic artists, event coordinators, and supply officers. There is a job for everyone! As a Meals on Wheels volunteer driver, you will deliver nutritious meals to older adults in need, providing not only nourishment but also companionship and a friendly visit. Your commitment is flexible, allowing you to choose a regular route or serve as a substitute or on-call volunteer.

General volunteers assist with various tasks such as errands, technology assistance, friendly visiting, and medical appointment support. This role allows you to engage with older adults and help enhance their quality of life through social interaction and practical support.

Join us for our Monthly Clothing Drives where you will help set up tables, receive clothing donations, and sort and organize clothing. This opportunity takes place on the last Sunday of the month for 3.5 hours.

As a Food Pickup Driver, you will pick up food donations from Hannaford North Avenue at 7:30 AM on Saturdays or Sundays and transport them to the food distribution location. A reliable vehicle with a large hatchback is required, along with a clean driving record and car insurance.

Food Distribution Helpers assist with unloading trucks, setting up tables, unpacking food, and greeting guests. This role is great for high school students and requires a time commitment of 1.5 hours per week on Saturdays or Sundays.

Have a couple of hours to spare once a month? Come lead an Art Class for our seniors who love to create with paint, pencil, clay, wire, and wood. Your creativity will inspire their artistic expression.

We are looking for someone with writing and editing experience to visit once or twice a month to help our seniors record their memories. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with their life stories.

Calling all fiber enthusiasts! Whether you knit, crochet, embroider, weave, cross-stitch, or macrame, we would love to have you visit once a week and engage with our talented fiber folks.

We are seeking an experienced instructor to teach a 45-60 minute Balance Class, once per week. Timing is flexible to accommodate your schedule.

Join us on Mondays from 10 to 11 am to create beautiful bouquets from flowers generously donated by Trader Joe's. This opportunity allows you to engage with seniors while sharing your floral arranging skills.
