Global Volunteers are fully immersed in community life for 10–12 months, receiving hands-on training in elder care, cooking, housekeeping, and more. They participate in workshops and learning opportunities that support personal development and deeper engagement with community life.

Local volunteers play an essential role in the ongoing life of the Fellowship Community. Opportunities include working directly with elder members, helping in the gardens, and supporting hands-on workshops such as pottery, wood shop, weaving, and handwork.

Nanuet Volunteer Firefighter's serve their community and are trained to respond to a wide variety of emergency situations where life, property or the environment are at risk. Assignments vary and are based on training, physical fitness, experience and ability. Duties include but are not limited to fire suppression, fire prevention education, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, search and rescue, vehicle extrication, disaster preparedness, community service activities, public safety, response to civil disturbances and terrorism incidents. Create and deliver holiday cards and crafts to bring joy to home-delivered meal recipients. This project is great for students, teachers, youth groups, and families.

Assist in organizing and distributing food to families in need. Volunteers will help with sorting donations, stocking shelves, and ensuring that the food pantry runs smoothly.

Organize a food drive in your community to collect non-perishable food items for People to People. This role involves coordinating with local businesses, schools, and community groups to gather donations.

Assist with meal preparation in our commissary located in Nanuet Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m., including holidays. Volunteers help get meals out in the early mornings or clean out coolers after they are returned in the early afternoons.

Volunteer drivers typically pick up meals at a central location and deliver them along a predetermined route directly to the homes of seniors in Rockland County. This role is essential in ensuring that homebound seniors receive their meals and a friendly greeting.

Help ensure homebound recipients have a sufficient supply of non-perishable food items by collecting and packing donated shelf-stable food items into boxes.

Provide expertise in environmental engineering to help ROSA address environmental challenges. Tasks may include conducting assessments, developing solutions, and advising on sustainable practices.

Assist with planning and organizing events to support ROSA's initiatives. Responsibilities may include coordinating logistics, managing event promotion, and ensuring successful execution of events.

Conduct research to support ROSA's initiatives. This may include gathering data, analyzing information, and preparing reports on various community and environmental issues.

Represent ROSA at community events and meetings by delivering presentations and speeches. Help raise awareness about the organization's mission and engage with the public.

Capture and edit video content for ROSA's various projects and events. Help create compelling visual stories to promote the organization's mission and activities.

Provide bookkeeping services to help manage ROSA's financial records, including tracking donations, expenses, and preparing financial reports.

Assist with traffic and engineering projects by providing expertise, conducting research, and helping to develop solutions for traffic-related issues in the community.

Participate in environmental initiatives such as clean-up projects, educational outreach, and advocacy for sustainable practices within the community.

Assist the organization with public relations and marketing efforts. Tasks may include managing social media accounts, creating promotional materials, and engaging with the community to raise awareness about ROSA's mission.

Contribute to ROSA's communication efforts by writing articles, blog posts, and other content to inform and engage the community about the organization's work and mission.

Assist with editing video content for ROSA's projects and events. Help create polished and professional videos that effectively communicate the organization's message.
