Volunteers are an integral part of the CJFS CARES dementia respite program. They lead activities, assist with lunch, and engage clients in conversation, providing essential support to individuals with memory disorders.

Volunteers assist in delivering groceries to 75 low-income older adults each month, helping to create greater food stability. Responsibilities include unloading food, packing bags, and making reminder calls.

Rape Response volunteers serve as on-call advocates for sexual assault survivors, providing emotional support and assistance at emergency rooms and SANE clinics. Volunteers must be prepared to respond to requests for medical advocacy and support survivors through their healing process.

Senior Talk Line volunteers make weekly calls to seniors and their caregivers to provide social contact and support. These calls help combat loneliness and isolation while offering a friendly conversation and resources for additional support.
